Description

To commemorate the birthdays of Robert Paterson Pattison (born 24th May 1858) and Walter Gray Gilchrist Pattison (born 23rd May 1860), join us for this very special Leith Whisky Trail which focuses on the brothers, their business and the subsequent boom and bust of, not only the Pattisons but also, the Scotch whisky industry.

After an hour’s stroll around the wonderful port of Leith, taking in this fascinating period of whisky history, we’ll do the decent thing and head to the pub for a few old school drams and a good blether.

Each dram will be carefully selected to link to the story of the Pattisons. There’ll be five drams in all; 4 from the 1960s and 1970s as well as a ‘one for the road’ dram from the bar.

Tours: Please wear sensible shoes for the walking tour as Leith has cobbled streets and uneven pavements due to the historical age of the port. Please take care when walking especially when pavements are wet or icy. Tours go out in all weathers so please dress appropriately. Tours cross at authorised crossing points wherever possible, but please do take care when crossing. The tour covers 1 to 1.5 miles mainly on the flat. If you feel you would need any assistance to take part in this tour, please let us know in advance so suitable planning can be put in place.
Alcohol: The tour is followed by a whisky tasting so proof of age will be required if you look under the age of 25. We operate a Challenge 25 policy. We do not recommend driving immediately after taking this tour if you take part in the whisky tasting. Soft drink alternatives can be provided.
Liability: Kask Whisky excludes all liability for any loss, damage to personal property or injury to you, howsoever caused but does not exclude liability, where any death or injury is caused by the negligence of Kask Whisky.

Please note: product image is for illustration only. Each tasting has a different line up depending on the whisky able to be sourced. However, the drams are always old bottlings linked to Leith.
