Follow in Alfred Barnard's footsteps and discover the whisky landscape of Edinburgh in the late 1800s.
During the 1880s, the famous Alfred Barnard wrote and published his work: The Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom. The Edinburgh Whisky Trail route covers the history of three of those (now lost) distilleries featured in his book.
Starting at Dean Village and finishing near Haymarket, there'll also be plenty of stories about those Scotch whisky brands of yesteryear.
At the end of the tour, we'll head to our venue to enjoy four drams from the 1960s, 1970s and/or 1980s carefully selected to illustrate the area's wonderful whisky heritage.
Each walking tour will last approximately 60 minutes and the whisky tasting afterwards will last approximately 60 minutes.
From October 2022 onwards, tours can only be booked for a minimum of 4 people. Just send us a message through our contact form to arrange your tour!
